We are in the progress of
developing an OpenGL based character animation
library. The library can be used in native OpenGL
applications as well as it seamlessly plugs into
high-level scene graph APIs such as OpenGL Performer
(TM).
The library currently supports skeletal animation with
the ability to switch animations on the fly.
The characters and their basic motions are created in
3D Studio MAX from which they are saved as x-files. In the
near future we plan to add "intellectual"
controllers to enable better control of the character,
add support for motion capture data and ability to
employ physical modeling to improve basic motions.
